Dr. Alexander Höpfner has been active as insolvency administrator and attorney for over 20 years. He is appointed as insolvency administrator by various insolvency courts in various German federal states and advises in the field of reorganization and restructuring all over Germany. He has successfully managed numerous insolvency plan proceedings both as insolvency administrator and as advisor. In debtor in possession and protective shield proceedings Dr. Höpfner acts as CIO, CRO and chief representative. In distressed situations he often is retained as an expert to examine the effects of insolvency plan proceedings for the different stakeholders. In that he models insolvency proceedings and evaluates the expected dividend for the creditors. Moreover, he acts as advisor in distressed M&A transactions both on the seller and the buyer side.
