For over 20 years Steffen Schneider has been active as an expert in the field of insolvency administration and as advisor in crisis situations. He is co-head of BBL’s cross border practice group and advises domestic and international clients in the field of insolvency and restructuring, among them companies, creditors, bondholders, banks, shareholders, management and supervisory board members. Steffen Schneider deals with out-of-court restructurings of group of companies and with restructurings in insolvency, namely via insolvency plans in debtor in possession proceedings and protective shield proceedings. In preparation of this he analyses and models different restructuring scenarios both legally and economically. Steffen Schneider is also retained for distressed M&A transactions, for the defense against damage claims vis-à-vis shareholders, management and supervisory board members and for the restructurings of financial institutions. Steffen focuses, inter alia, on the automotive sector, financial institutions, publishing companies and companies in the renewable energy sector.
